ReplyWhy are there still construction cones on 141 between Ladue and Olive? Creating a speed trap, I have yet to see anything being worked on there for the past month or more.

ReplyAlso, Kronke is in a spot also, he can't just move back to L.A. There is already an NFL group there trying to get a team, so he's have to sell to them or buy them out.

On the article Yes or No: $700M on St. Louis Rams' Dome Upgrades?

ReplyKronke has the money to build his own stadium, let him build it! People despise owners like Jerry Jones and George Steinbrenner, but they spend their own money! The Cowboys Stadium cost 1.2 billion, 900 mill was pt up by JJ, 300 mill by the city of Arlington. Arlington had their money back within one year!
The present EJ Dome will end up costing 720 mill, after 30 years of payments, now we're supposed to approve another 700 mill to be financed? Plus the 500 mill in lost revenue during construction! Also, I believe there will be a new tax on the November ballot to raise 500+million for Arch grounds improvements. Where will it end? -
On the article Deer Management Considered in Manchester

ReplyI believe Cassidy is at least partially right. Maybe not the bulldozers here, but statewide construction and destruction of natural predators, have caused this population increase. The "fear" of wolves, bobcats, and other predators in addition to the "mall" boom has helped lead to this.
It's the same example of people building houses in the mountains in California, and wanting to eradicate the mountain lions. Ridiculous. You like the trees, the abundance of common ground around our houses, but not the wildlife that goes with it.
Move to the City! Humans are worse than locust some times. -

ReplyHunters in a residential area is totally ludicrous! Don't like the deer? Move to the city, they need residents! Don't like paying attention while driving? Walk!

ReplyCatch them and relocate them if necessary. I use a repellent on my plants and it works great! I do not mind the deer, in fact I like seeing them. Maybe people need to relax, drive slower, put the damn phone down and pay attention when driving! I for one do not want some three tooth grease-eaters walking around with guns in my neighborhood!

ReplyWell, I for one remember when the present Manchester mayor came house to house with his campaign, and when I asked his feelings on Eminent Domain, he said he was against it. But a year later here comes the Highlands. About 2 weeks ago I emailed my Adlerman, Ottenad, with a question regarding vacant parking lots along Manchester, and why the city couldn't allow them to be used as commuter lots. I got no response what so ever. So, I assume that as in big politics, politicians are liars or don't care, once they make their goal. So why should I bother.

On the article Does Manchester Have a Deer Problem?
Joe P.

ReplyWe see deer all of the time, we enjoy them, leave them alone. If some grease-eater can't bag one during "real" deer season, in a designated hunting area, then too bad. If people do not like the wildlife, then move to the city, they need all of the residents they can get. So, no, there is no deer problem in Manchester.

Sounds like another appointed group of people collecting another tax to line someone's pockets.
