Cody Coleman, 19, of the 600 block of Windingpath Lane in Manchester, was indicted for assaulting a law enforcement officer. Geoffry Gutmann, 19, also of the 600 block of Windingpath Lane, was indicted for felony stealing. A Parkway South graduate was shot to death while delivering pizzas earlier this year. Now, another pizza delivery driver murder reportedly has St. Louis County police going undercover to catch criminals.
St. Louis County Police Chief Tim Fitch said undercover officers will begin delivering pizzas to parts of St. Louis County in effort to deter armed robberies, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The announcement comes after an Imo’s delivery driver was shot and killed Monday night while delivering pizzas in Dellwood. Police said the driver was robbed of the pizzas and a cellphone. As previously reported by Patch, Parkway South High School graduate and West County resident Daniil Maksimenko, 22, was ambushed, shot and killed in May while delivering a pizza. As police attempted to make arrests Oct. 24, investigators said the driver tried to pull away, knocking over a one detective and throwing him under the wheels. Officers surrounded the car with guns drawn, and the driver stopped. The detective was not seriously injured.
