Did You Notice The Public Notice For This Land Along Mason Road?

The 41 acre parcel of land is being broken into two parcels for construction of a home.

Have you notice the public notice posted on the land near Queeny Park on Mason Road? If not, you can find it in the photo portion of this article. Wednesday night, the Town and Country Planning and Zoning Commission held a subdivision review and voted to approve allowing the one parcel of approximately 41 acres of land at 1919 South Mason Road to be subdivided into two lots. Alderman Fred Meyland-Smith, who sits on the planning and zoning commission, tells Patch that the southernmost lot of 21 acres is set to be purchased by one individual who has stated his intent is to build one home. Residents Protest New School Citing Traffic, Improper Notification and Commercial Property

Some Town and Country residents do not want a new school moving in on Mason Road. They said it will create a traffic hazard, they were not properly notified of the plan and they don't want a commercial property in a residential area.

Last week, despite a handful of residents speaking out against the project, the Town and Country Planning and Zoning Commission approved the preliminary development plan for a new Raintree Learning Community to be built at 2000 to 2016 Amonte Drive. Hwy 40 Lanes Closed at Mason Road

MoDOT is shutting down lanes on Highway 40 near Mason Road Saturday night.

MoDOT UPDATE/Jan. 29:  Due to temperatures, MoDOT crews have not gotten the correct strength on the concrete repairs made Saturday to westbound Highway 40 west of Mason Road. MoDOT now projects opening the middle lane by 11 a.m. and the outside lane by 4 p.m. Sunday. Read Original Article: The Missouri Department of Transportation is closing the right lane of westbound Highway 40 just west of Mason at 4 p.m. Saturday, according to a MoDOT news release. According to the release, crews will then close a second lane at 6 p.m. The closures are so crews can make pavement repairs. MoDOT stated that all lanes will reopen by 10 a.m. Sunday. Clayton Road Project Update, Sidewalk Demolition Should Not Impact Traffic

Demolition has begun in front of the firehouse at Mason and Clayton roads in Town and Country.

Traffic is not expected to be impacted this week by the demolition taking place in front of the firehouse at Mason and Clayton roads, Department of Public Works Director Craig Wilde wrote in an email.  Wilde released the following email update on the Clayton Road Trail Project.  "We have started the demolition of the existing sidewalk in front of the firehouse. Ameren UE has also had some crews on site to excavate for two power pole relocations just west of Mason Road. Omni Tree Service continues to work on the removal of the existing vegetation. I do not anticipate any impact on road traffic in the next week or so, but sections of the walkway will be out of service. These areas will be extensive and will be marked as necessary. Please be …
