Longview Events Evaluated as Parking Lot Expansion Paves Ahead

Longview traffic trends and planned events were presented to Town and Country aldermen Monday as they evaluate the need for additional parking and the Longview parking expansion project.

Monday, Town and Country aldermen reviewed what types of events and programs will be held at Longview Farm Park and its farmhouse this summer and in coming years as they and the parks department try to determine what size crowds can be expected at the park as the Longview parking project is evaluated. The project would add 15 additional parking spots to the park. It's a recommendation that was made by the Longview Farm Park Ad-Hoc Committee which is headed up by former Town and Country mayor Skip Mange. Town and Country Breaks Ground on Clayton Road Trail

Thursday evening, a ceremonial ground breaking took place in Town and Country for the Clayton Road resurfacing and trail project.

Around 50 Town and Country city leaders and residents gathered at Longview Farm Park on Thursday afternoon for the ceremonial ground breaking for the Clayton Road resurfacing and trail project. The ceremony marked the beginning of Phase 1 of the three-phase project to repave Clayton Road from Hwy 141 to the city limits near Bopp Road. The project also includes creating a multi-use pedestrian trail on the north side of Clayton Road and installing a pedestrian walkway on the existing bridge over Hwy 141 which will connect the sidewalk on the north side of Clayton Road at Old Woods Mill Road to the intersection at Clayton Road and Woods Mill Road. Town and Country Looking For Holiday Boutique Vendors

Town and Country's annual holiday boutique isn't until November, but organizers are looking for vendors now.

Town and Country's annual holiday boutique isn't until November, but organizers are looking for vendors now. The City of Town and Country is inviting local artisans and crafters to participate in the event. Those interested should register now. The third annual Town and Country Talents and Treasures Holiday Boutique will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Longview Farm House, 13525 Clayton Rd.    Organizers said vendors can reserve display areas, complete with 8 to 10-foot tables. They are available on a limited basis inside the farm house for $50 per space. Only personally handcrafted art and crafts are allowed in the boutique. Organizers warn that manufactured items are not considered handcrafted or handmade. …
