Manchester police are looking for a white car that struck this Ford Focus around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Check out photos from the scene.
According to the Manchester Police Department, a resident's parked car was reportedly struck in the 1500 block of Mautenne Drive around 8:40 p.m. Thursday. The driver that hit the car fled the scene. Police tell Patch they are searching for a white vehicle, possibly a two-door honda, with front and passenger side damage. The passenger side mirror may also be missing. Ann Schultz tells Town and Country - Manchester Patch the parked burgandy Ford Focus that was struck, was her son's. Police say a man wanted in connection to Thursday's fatal accident in Town and Country turned himself in Sunday.
Town and Country police tell Patch that George Putney, 52, wanted in connection to the fatal crash at Clayton Road and Woods Hill Drive, turned himself in to police at the Town and Country Municipal Center Sunday morning. (Read Previous Story: Woman Dies, Driver Flees in Town and Country Car Crash) Captain Gary Hoelzer tells Patch that charges against Putney are not officially filed, but police are seeking warrants for manslaughter and felony leaving the scene of an accident. Hoelzer expects charges to be filed Monday. Putney is currently in Town and Country police custody. A Town and Country Police officer reportedly captures a wrong-way driver heading straight for him on his dash cam.
The Town and Country Police Department said the photo included in this article shows a wrong-way driver on Interstate-270 earlier this month. Police Captain Gary Hoelzer stated in an email that the incident was caught on a police cruiser dash-cam video just after 2 a.m., Oct. 1. Officer Ronnie Nicoletti responded to a call for a wrong-way driver heading southbound in the northbound lanes of I-270 between Page Avenue and Dorsett Road with several near misses, Hoelzer explained. While driving northbound, Nicoletti began a zigzag pattern to keep other motorists behind his patrol car, Hoezler stated. Police have identified the hit and run vehicle as a 2009-2011 Mitsubishi Galant in an off white color. The car has damage to the front end and is missing the passenger side mirror.
