St. Louis County Police are reminding residents to be on alert as authorities continues to investigate two rapes. One occurred each summer for the last two years.
St. Louis County Police are asking residents to be on alert and report any suspicious behavior as summer months approach and two St. Louis County rapes from two previous summers remain unsolved. As previously reported by Patch, the rapes are believed to be connected and authorities think a serial rapist may be on the loose. The most recent case happened across the street from Parkway North High School last year, at Bennington Road and Fee Fee Road which is between Maryland Heights and Creve Coeur. Town and Country police sent out an alert after several residents reported receiving phone calls involving Green Dot prepaid debit cards.

An email alert was sent out after police said several residents received calls involving the prepaid cards. Manchester and Town and Country police want residents to be on alert and call 911 after a woman was recently approached in a business parking lot along Manchester Road.

Consumer are advised to throw out any cantaloupe grown in southwest Indiana. Schnucks stores pulled cantaloupe from the area and a specific farm has now been identified as a likely source.
UPDATED: 1:50 p.m. Aug. 23- The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services issued the warning this week. It said Missouri has 12 confirmed cases of Salmonella Typhimurium according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Cantaloupe grown in southwestern Indiana is the focus of the outbreak and consumers are advised to throw out cantaloupe from that area. It should be identified by a sticker on the cantaloupe. According to USA today, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has identified Chamberlain Farms, in Owensville, as a source of the outbreak. Town and Country police are warning residents to check for missing items if they've hired a cleaning or restoration company in the last year.
The following information was supplied by the Town and Country Police Department. Town and Country Police are advising residents who hired a cleaning and restoration company at any time since September 2011 to check for items stolen from their homes. If you receive an email about a package delivery or online postage charges, do not open it. It appears to be from the post office, but it is a scam than can infect your computer.
The U.S. Postal Service and Town and Country Police Department are warning residents there is an email scam underway and anyone who receives one of the emails should delete it immediately. The post office sent out the alert in an email stating that some postal customers are receiving bogus e-mails about a package delivery or online postage charges. Customers should not open the email. It contains a link or attachment that will install a virus on your computer once opened. The viruns can steal your personal information.
