The next-generation gaming console goes on sale today, but shortages are expected for those without pre-orders.
It's release day for the latest gaming console from Nintendo and only the quick or those with pre-orders are likely to find one in stores today. The Nintendo Wii U debuts at $300 and likely to be one of the most sought-after items of the holiday season with the company hoping to move 3.5 million units this year. June 29: 14000 block Manchester Road Theft of Motor Oil: A gas station employee called police after a car reportedly drove off without paying for the gasoline that was pumped. Thieves target Walmart in this most recent police blotter. The following information was supplied by the Manchester Police Department.

Jan. 18: 200 block Highlands Boulevard Drive Stealing: Police said a man was arrested for stealing two Nintendo video games from the Manchester Highlands Walmart. The total value of the stolen games is $39.78. Jan. 15: 14100 block Manchester Road Theft: Police said a driver was arrested for leaving a gas station without paying for his fuel. He was reportedly caught after driving off from the business. Police said the value of the fuel was $45.40. Changes to video game regulations pit some parents against experts who say there's no correlation between violent video games and violent behavior among children and teens.
