Three Dog Bakery - Did You Know?

Three Dog Bakery opened in August 2010 and is located in Town and Country Crossing right next to the lake. It offers fresh baked dog treats that are all natural with no sugar and no artificial flavors. Through a co-worker, our Miss Maggie is addicted to some of the Dog Bakery treats. Maggie is a cancer survivor so we are very concerned about her diet. Celebrated 5 years in April, so 4 years cancer free now. Maggie gives this shop 2 paws up!!   more ›

Starcrest Cleaners - Did You Know?

Starcrest Cleaners opened its Town and Country location in the fall of 2011. It's located next to The Bar Method and Mr. Goodcents.  Store Manager Jessica Suttner said it's environmentally friendly and a "green cleaners." The main location is at Sulphur Spring and Big Bend roads. Starcrest Cleaners are also located in Winghaven (in O'Fallon, MO), and in Washington, MO. Ginger Bay Named Salon of The Year

Town and Country's Ginger Bay Salon and Spa is named Salon of the Year by 'Salon Today' magazine.

Ginger Bay Salon and Spa owner Laura Ortmann shared the news on Facebook.  Salon Today reportedly surprised Ortmann at the new Town and Country Crossing location to tell her that the salon was the grand prize winner of the Salons of the Year Competition. Her reaction was recorded and posted on YouTube. That video clip is included in this article. As previously reported by Town and Country - Manchester Patch, Ginger Bay Salon and Spa is a locally owned, full-service salon that’s been in service since 1991. In 2008, the Kirkwood-based salon was purchased by attorney Laura Ortmann, who had been working as the company’s in-house counsel. Town and Country Theft Alert

Police are searching for a suspect after a purse was stolen in a school parking lot.

The following information was supplied by the Town and Country Police Department. According to police, a man stole a purse out of a vehicle around 8:00 a.m. Monday while a mother took her child into Visitation Academy in the 3000 block of Ballas Road near Highway 40. Investigators stated that the woman's stolen credit cards were used later that morning in the City of St. Louis. Authorities believe the suspect is driving a silver Ford Escape. Lost Dog - Have You Seen This Pup?

A woman visiting family in Town and Country is asking for the public's help to find her lost puppy Teddy. He was last spotted running near Topping Road Tuesday morning.

UPDATED: 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 25- Teddy, the dog who went missing Saturday evening ater a family member let him out of a Town and Country home, is back with his family this morning. READ ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Caroline Guy and her husband were visiting family in Town and Country when a family member let their dog Teddy out. That was Saturday evening and he has been missing since then. "We're visiting my parents. We don't live here so he doesn't know this area," Guy tells Patch. He was last spotted Tuesday morning running near Topping Road, but he is still on the loose. "He doesn't really run. I think he's just scared," Guy said. She's desperate to find the dog and get him home safely. She said her husband has returned home, but she is …

Assault Victim Stops in Town and Country For Help

A man who was assaulted in Ballwin, stopped at a Town and Country gas station for help Thursday night.

According to Town and Country police, they got the call around 9:25 p.m. of a person in need of help at the Phillips 66 gas station near the intersection of Woods Mill and Clayton roads. Police tell Patch the man said he was a victim of an assault in Ballwin and Ballwin police did arrive on the scene to investigate.  "It's there investigation now," Corporal Chris Moore told Town and Country -Manchester Patch Thursday night. Moore said an ambulance did arrive on the scene and he believed the apparent assault victim was taken the hospital, but he was not sure which one. No word on on the victims's condition as of late Thursday night.

Traffic Alert: Clayton Road Resurfacing Underway, Expect Delays

Resurfacing has begun on Clayton Road as part of Town and Country's new trail and road resurfacing project. This week crews work on trail landscaping and roadway paving.

UPDATED: 10:10 a.m. Tuesday- Town and Country Department of Public Works Director Craig Wilde tells Patch the road resurfacing is taking place on Clayton Road between Oak Springs and Woods Mill roads from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. "That's going to be subject to change based on what we see with the traffic," Wilde said. Drivers may experience traffic delays in those immediate areas through the end of next week as road crews work. Wilde said night paving is an option, but crews are not working at night at this time. This week crews are coldmilling the surface of Clayton road, preparing it for the overlay. "As long as the weather holds out for us, we're working every day," Wilde tells Patch. Firehouse Improvements Cost Town and Country Close to $1 Million

Construction is slated to begin by June 15. The estimated cost is $853,400 to upgrade the firehouse for cost effectiveness, better functionality and comfort.

A project to update and improve the Town and Country firehouse at Mason and Clayton roads will cost the city nearly one million dollars.   The firehouse houses West County EMS and Fire Protection District crews which are contracted out by the city, but the building is owned by the City of Town and Country. At last Monday's board of aldermen work session, aldermen got an update on the renovation project. Town and Country Department of Public Works Director Craig Wilde explained planned updates and associated costs will total an estimated $853,400.  Wilde explained that improvements will include better HVAC control, generator capacity, function for two genders of firefighters, general wear, maintenance and comfort. His presentation is …

This is a case of Town and Country shooting itself in the foot. The fire station looked beautiful for all the residents when it openned, but was a disaster from day one. The high ceilings made it excessively hot in the winter and cold in the summer. In the summer firefigheters wore sweaters inside and in the winter they were wearing short sleeved shirts. Clayton Road Project Update: Road Work Next Week

Paving is now complete on the Clayton Road Trail. Road resurfacing starts next week so there could be traffic delays in the immediate area.

The final leg of the Clayton Road Trail is paved and now crews move on to resurfacing the road as part of Town and Country's the Clayton Road Trail and Resurfacing Project. The road work begins Monday and may cause some traffic delays. Town and Country Department of Public Works Director Craig Wilde just released the following email update on the Clayton Road Trail Project.  I know there has been a lot of discussion and anticipation about the trail on Clayton Road.  Yesterday, we paved the final leg of the trail between Principia and Oak Springs.  Next week will provide a flurry of activity (weather permitting).  Backfill and final grading will continue to progress while the landscaping installation will begin mid week.
