Woman Loans Thief Her Phone, Thief Flees

Manchester police are investigating after a woman said someone asked to borrow her cell phone, then took off with it.

Money, Credit Cards Stolen From Unlocked Cars

Town and Country police said one of the credit cards was used after being stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Police stated in an email alert that money and credit cards were stolen from two unlocked vehicles in the 13000 block of Wheatfield Farm Road between 5:00 p.m., April 15 and 4:30 p.m., April 16. Investigators said one of the credit cards was used in St. Louis after being stolen. Police urge residents to call 911 if they observe any suspicious people, vehicles or activity in their neighborhoods or contact Town and Country police dispatch at 314-737-4600. Manchester Police Investigate Loose Dog, Stolen Gas

Manchester police said they are keeping watch of one neighborhood after receiving a call of an "aggressive dog" on the loose.

Surveillance Camera Leads to Retirement Community Theft Arrest

Town and Country police said a six-year employee at the Mari de Villa Retirement Community was arrested thanks to surveillance video.

The following information was supplied by the Town and Country Police Department. (For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) Town and Country - Manchester Patch contacted police after we were alerted to this incident at the Mari de Villa Retirement Community, 13900 Clayton Road in Town and Country, by an email from a Patch reader. Police tell Patch, a resident of Mari de Villa told management on April 19 that they were the victim of theft. Detectives met with Mari de Villa staff that same day and began the investigation, authorities stated. I don't agree. My mom is here and she is receiving great care. No where is perfect and knowing how difficult it is to take care of these residents I admire the dedication of the staff. Yes the food could be better. Yes staffing ratios can be challenging but go visit some other facilities and you will find the same issues. Police Issue Willowbend Apartments Crime Alert

Town and Country police are warning residents of recent overnight thefts from cars. Authorities are reminding residents to lock their car doors.

Town and Country Police issued the following crime alert after recent thefts from the Willowbend Apartment complex. Since March 24, police have responded to four reports of items stolen from vehicles. Additionally, a Willowbend resident reported that someone had ransacked the inside of her unlocked vehicle, however nothing was taken. West County Man Arrested in Connection to Multi-State Car Theft Ring

Sixteen people, including a Ballwin man, have been arrested in connection to a multi-state car theft conspiracy, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office Tuesday.

Sixteen people have been arrested on a federal indictment connected to a multi-state car theft conspiracy, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office Tuesday. Prosecutors stated Sheldon Mitchell, 42, of Ballwin is among those arrested. The following details of the case and arrests were included in a U.S. Attorney's Office press release Tuesday. Sixteen people have been arrested on a federal indictment charging twenty-one defendants involved in a multi-state car theft conspiracy.  The conspiracy is alleged to have utilized several different schemes to steal and misappropriate vehicles, commit bank fraud in order to obtain vehicles, and obtain insurance proceeds by staging accidents and filing false theft reports.         The indictment alleges…

Manchester police are investigating reports of a missing gun and $1,650 in clothing that was reportedly stolen from a local business.
