A police pursuit that began in Lake St. Louis, ended when the car rolled over along Highway 40 in Town and Country.
Highway 40 was completely backed up in both directions Friday afternoon after a police pursuit that began in Lake St. Louis ended in Town and Country when the suspect vehicle rolled over along the highway. As you can see from the photos included in this article, numerous police agencies helped assist in the incident that happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday. A man and woman wanted by police for months in connection to a number of West County burglaries were arrested by Town and Country police. Read how it all unfolded.
Town and Country police said two people wanted in connecton to a rash of recent West Country burglaries are now in police custody. (Read Previous Story:Crime Alert: Police Warn Residents to Watch for Burglary Suspects) Town and Country detectives arrested Mark Davenport, 37, and Tonya (Broeker) Quargnenti, 33, in South St. Louis County on Memorial Day, according to police Captain Gary Hoelzer. Investigators received a tip that the two were in rehab at St. Anthony's Highland Center in South County. Town and Country May 19: 13700 block of Corrington Court Burglary in Progress: Police said they received a call around 9:10 p.m. from a resident who noticed a suspicious person in a garage. When confronted, the person reportedly dropped items that belonged to the resident and ran to a dark colored Toyota Camry parked in front of the residence. The investigation led police to Christopher Brown, 20, of the 600 block of Applecross Court in Ballwin. Brown was arrested and booked on charges of stealing and trespassing. Town and Country police credit the community for thwarting a theft and quickly catching two teen suspects.
Town and Country police said two teens wanted in connection with a burglary this week were caught and taken into custody. Investigators said Graham Redington, 18, of the 1600 block of Foxleigh Court in Town and Country and a 17-year-old from the 4300 block of Lee Avenue of north St. Louis were arrested in connection to the crime. Investigators said at approximately 2:45 a.m. Thursday, two people entered a home in the 12800 block of Horton Lane through an unlocked door and stole a laptop computer and a 46-inch large-screen television. Two Massachusetts men suspected of taking credit cards and using them to purchase electronics are charged after being spotted in a Town and Country athletic club.
Two Massachusetts men have been arrested on suspicion of credit-card fraud in a case involving the Town and Country Police Department, the Clayton Police Department and the U.S. Secret Service. Jonathan Vendituoli, 53, of Swansea, MA, and Kevin Cooney, 53, of Belmont, MA, appeared in federal court Tuesday in connection with the case,a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Missouri states. They each face one count of credit-card fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit credit-card fraud. Town and Country police are searching for two suspects in a black car after a burglary just before 1 p.m. Friday.
UPDATED: 5:55 p.m. Friday Town and Country police are searching for two burglary suspects. The alert comes after a burglary at 12:40 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of South Mason Road. Authorities said electronic items were stolen from the home and a witness saw a black vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Cavalier or Cobalt, and two males in the driveway at the time of the burglary. One suspect is described as stocky, while the other is said to be slender. One was reportedly wearing a green jacket and the other was wearing a black hoodie. Police previously reported two burglaries involving a black two-door vehicle along Topping Road. They believe Friday's burglary may be have been committed by the same people.
