Traffic will be able to access downtown for Friday's Cardinal NCLS playoff game. Two lanes on eastbound Highway 40 will be open for tonight’s game, but the 14th Street ramp is closed.
The Missouri Department of Transportation is advising drivers of lane and ramp closures for Friday night's St. Louis Cardinals NLCS game. Two lanes of eastbound Highway 40 will be open, along with the 6th and 11th Street ramps. However, the 14th Street ramp is closed Friday and all weekend. The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the two right lanes on westbound Interstate 64 on the Poplar Street Bridge downtown, approximately one hour after the Cardinals’ National League Championship game starts. There are a number of lane and ramp closures taking place downtown this week that St. Louis Cardinals fans should know about before heading to the NLCS playoff games.
UPDATE: 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16 - The closure of westbound Highway 40 in downtown St. Louis scheduled for Tuesday night is CANCELED and is not rescheduled, MoDOT stated in a news release. ORIGINAL STORY: The Missouri Department of Transportation is alerting drivers to a number of lane and ramp closures taking place on Highway 40 in downtown St. Louis this week. The closures are on the routes many drivers will use to access downtown St. Louis. MoDOT officials also stated in a news release that traffic will still be able to get into downtown for the upcoming St. Louis Cardinals home games against the San Francisco Giants.
