The Missouri Department of Transportation reports its St. Louis work zones for May 16-22.
The Senior PGA golf tournament comes to St. Louis and it will include road closures beginning next week. Route AB (Ladue Road) will be closed between Route 141 and Mason Road from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily from Tuesday, May 21 through Sunday, May 26. Mason Road will also be closed during these same hours and days from West Wailing to Ladue Road. The Missouri Department of Transportation will have lane closures on a few interstates this weekend. Two lanes will be closed on southbound I-170 at Route 180 (St. Charles Rock Road) at 9 p.m. Friday, May 17 to perform preventative maintenance on the I-170 bridge over Route 180. Enchanted Parkway in Manchester will be closed from Howard George Drive to Manchester Road for repavement work. The closure is set for this weekend.
Crews are expected to begin repavement work on Enchanted Parkway around 9 p.m. Friday, May 17. That means Enchanted Parkway in Manchester will be closed from Howard George Drive to Manchester Road during the weekend work, according to Manchester Public Works Department Director Bob Ruck. Traffic will be detoured during the road construction. The work is required to be done and Enchanted Parkway reopened by 5 a.m., Monday, May 20, but the road may reopen sooner than that, Ruck said. Missouri Department of Transportatation's maintenance crews are continuing to work daily on touching up striping on state roads around the region. Drivers should be aware of slow moving maintenance operations on roadways as crews continue to work on putting on a new coat of paint. When drivers see a MoDOT vehicle with flashing lights, they should remember to slow down or move over to avoid the work ahead. Often three or more maintenance vehicles will be spaced out over some distance to complete maintenance work. In St. Louis County, blasting operations on southbound Interstate 270 near Big Bend is scheduled weekdays at 1 p.m., and will continue weekly, weather permitting. Crews were able to make more progress on the Clayton Road project, plus finish some unrelated Clayton Road work Monday, before rain was expected to moved in.

The recent weeks of rainy weather have impacted work on the Clayton Road Resurfacing and Pedestrian Enhancement Project, but Monday crews were able to get out and once again make some progress before rain made its way to the St. Louis area. Also, unrelated to that project, work was done Monday on Clayton Road from Oak Springs Lane to Old Woods Mill Road. The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the ramp from Pine Street to westbound Interstate 64 at 9 a.m., Thursday as part of the Jefferson Avenue bridge closure. The Jefferson Avenue bridge over I-64 will close on Friday morning at 1 a.m., for approximately three months. Motorists can use Compton Avenue, 18th Street and 14th Street to detour around the closure. MoDOT will close all lanes on I-64 in both directions between Hampton and Jefferson this weekend starting at 8 p.m., Friday. Entrance ramps to eastbound I-64 will be closed from McCausland to Ewing avenues. In addition, entrance ramps to westbound I-64 will be closed from Broadway to Grand avenues. Update: MoDOT announced that the scheduled blasting would not take place due to predicted rain Wednesday. The Missouri Department of Transportation is warning drivers to expect traffic delays on southbound Interstate 270, between Manchester Road and Interstate 44, as rock blasting takes place this week. Weather permitting, the blasting is set to begin Wednesday along southbound Interstate 270 at 1 p.m, MoDOT stated in a news release. This means all lanes in both directions of I-270, between Manchester Road and Interstate 44, will be closed for up to 15 minutes on weekdays..
