The Missouri Department of Transportation warns drivers of Mardi Gras ramp closures and upcoming Boone Bridge closures.
On Saturday, the following ramps will be closed around St. Louis for Mardi Gras from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Beginning Feb. 11, crews working on the new I-64 Daniel Boone Missouri River Bridge will have once a day closures of I-64 for rock blasting adjacent to the eastbound lanes of I-64 at the St Charles County end of the bridge. I-64 traffic will be slowed and potentially stopped for up to 10 minutes at either 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. weekdays for approximately one month. The Missouri Department of Transportation reports that all construction work on state routes stopped at noon on Wednesday and will resume Monday, Nov. 26 at 9 a.m. (For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) All permanent lane closures and barriers on some construction projects will remain closed this weekend. Crews may also complete emergency road repairs as needed during the holiday period as well. The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on its St. Louis work zones for November 15-21.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will close all lanes and ramps on the eastbound double deck structure downtown from Jefferson Avenue to the Poplar Street Bridge, starting at 7 p.m. Friday, November 16. Since work is directly over downtown lanes of Interstate 55 and I-70, traffic on those interstates may be shifted as crews work overhead. MoDOT Reports on the St. Louis Work Zones for November 1-7, including major changes if you drive into St. Charles County.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the westbound section of the Interstate 70 Blanchette Bridge over the Missouri River the weekend of November 2-4. The westbound bridge will remain closed until fall 2013. The eastbound I-70 bridge will be used to carry three lanes of traffic in each direction. There are a number of lane and ramp closures taking place downtown this week that St. Louis Cardinals fans should know about before heading to the NLCS playoff games.
UPDATE: 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16 - The closure of westbound Highway 40 in downtown St. Louis scheduled for Tuesday night is CANCELED and is not rescheduled, MoDOT stated in a news release. Night paving construction will close parts of Kehrs Mill from Clayton to Holloway during nights next week.

MoDOT is closing the road to replace a railroad crossing. Drivers are advised to use an alternate route.
The Missouri Department of Transportation is closing Route 141, the Earth City Expressway, at the railroad crossing just south of Route 370 Friday morning so crews can replace the railroad crossing. That portion of the road is closing at 8 a.m. Friday and will reopen before noon Tuesday, Oct. 9, MoDOT stated in a news release. All work is weather permitting. Since Route 141 is will be closed, MoDOT is alerting drivers to use alternate routes. All lanes of eastbound I-64 double-deck structure to close Thursday night.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will close all lanes of eastbound Interstate 64 double-deck structure Thursday night to work on expansion joints under the bridge. All lanes and ramps will close on eastbound I-64 downtown between Jefferson and the Poplar Street Bridge starting at 8:30 p.m., Thursday. Ramps from Forest Park, Ewing and Pine Street to eastbound I-64 will also be closed. One lane will be open by 5 a.m., Friday, with all eastbound lanes open by noon. MoDOT will suspend all construction in all work zones Friday at noon for the Labor Day holiday. Some permanent work zones will remain in place, but work will not resume until Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:
