Town and Country Employees Pick Their 2013 Pay Raises

Town and Country city employees are being giving the option in 2013 to take one or two percent pay increases.

One percent pay raises for city employees are included in the newly adopted 2013 Town and Country city budget. However, employees will have the option next year to forgo the raise until June and then receive a two percent pay raise instead. (Read Previous Story: Town and Country Approves 2013 Budget) Mayor Jon Dalton said the proposal is to give employees the option of having a higher base salary at the end of 2013, which is what a future raise would be based upon, while still having the city pay out what's budgeted for city employee raises in the 2013 budget. Town and Country City Council Could Vote on Budget, Pay Raises and Deer Management Monday Night

City budget, employee pay raises and deer management are just a few issues expected to be voted on at Monday night's Town and Country board of aldermen meeting.

A number of issues discussed at the Nov. 22 Town and Country Board of Aldermen meeting, including the city's 2011 fiscal year budget, employee pay raises, employee benefits and the allocation of deer management funds, are expected to be voted on at Monday night's board meeting. An ordinance approving the 2011 city budget was introduced at the Nov. 22 meeting. No vote was taken and it was continued for a second reading on Dec. 13. Town and Country Mayor Jon Dalton said right now, the city expects to be approximately $880,000 into its reserves for 2011.
