Murders Prompt St. Louis County Police to Deliver Pizzas

A Parkway South graduate was shot to death while delivering pizzas earlier this year. Now, another pizza delivery driver murder reportedly has St. Louis County police going undercover to catch criminals.

St. Louis County Police Chief Tim Fitch said undercover officers will begin delivering pizzas to parts of St. Louis County in effort to deter armed robberies, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The announcement comes after an Imo’s delivery driver was shot and killed Monday night while delivering pizzas in Dellwood. Police said the driver was robbed of the pizzas and a cellphone. As previously reported by Patch, Parkway South High School graduate and West County resident Daniil Maksimenko, 22, was ambushed, shot and killed in May while delivering a pizza. Maksimenko, who lived in the Ballwin area, was working at the Northwood Imo's Pizza when he was murdered. Police said robbery was the motive for the shooting. Two people were later…
