The Missouri Department of Transportation reports its St. Louis work zones for May 16-22.
The Senior PGA golf tournament comes to St. Louis and it will include road closures beginning next week. Route AB (Ladue Road) will be closed between Route 141 and Mason Road from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily from Tuesday, May 21 through Sunday, May 26. Mason Road will also be closed during these same hours and days from West Wailing to Ladue Road. The Missouri Department of Transportation will have lane closures on a few interstates this weekend. Two lanes will be closed on southbound I-170 at Route 180 (St. Charles Rock Road) at 9 p.m. Friday, May 17 to perform preventative maintenance on the I-170 bridge over Route 180. The Country Club of St. Albans is pleased to announce one if its members has qualified for the 2013 PGA Tour. Scott Langley, shot a four-under-par 68 in the final round of qualifying at TPC Stadium Course in La Quinta, CA this week. A look at next steps ahead for the club and the area in the wake of the PGA's decision to award two of golf's majors.
Now that Bellerive Country Club has successfully lured the PGA Tour back to the St. Louis area for major championships in 2013 and 2018, the work to pull them off begins. PGA Chief Executive Officer Joe Steranka indicated Bellerive's history had something to do with earning the return engagements.
