Westminster Football Coach Steps Down, New Coach Named

After leading the Westminster Christian Academy football team for eight years, JD Perona is stepping down as head football coach. Upper School registrar and physics teacher Cory Snyder will replace him.

After leading the Westminster Christian Academy football team for eight years, JD Perona is stepping down as head football coach. The school is currently located in Creve Coeur but is moving to its new Town and Country campus this summer, where students will begin the 2011-2012 school year. In a press release, school officials said, "Under Perona's leadership the program has grown and won district championships in 2006 and 2009. Perona has been a strong coach and mentor and has always placed a high priority on spiritually leading the boys that God has entrusted to us." Perona shared with the football team that he “is moving on to the next stage of his life," Westminster spokesperson Michelle Burke tells Town and Country-Manchester Patch. …
