National Signing Day: Ezekiel Elliott Signs Letter Of Intent With Ohio State Buckeyes

February 6 is the first day high school seniors can confirm their college choices. The University of Missouri, Ohio State and Oklahoma State are among the NCAA schools looking to St. Louis for recruits.

College coaches are getting their money's worth out of fax machines today. This is the first day high school seniors playing Football, Baseball Field Hockey, Soccer, Track and Field, Cross Country, Men's Water Polo can submit a signed letter of intent to play at the college level. Ezekiel Elliott, the John Burroughs running back who gave a verbal pledge to the Ohio State Buckeyes last spring, confirmed that decision late Wednesday afternoon in an announcement that was also carried on live local television. Rising Golf Star Langley Honored by Parkway South

Golfer Scott Langley was inducted into Parkway South High School's Hall of Fame during South's basketball game against Oakville.

Halftime of the Parkway South High School boys basketball game against Oakville was extended a bit longer than usual as the Patriots inducted 2007 graduate and golf star Scott Langley into their hall of fame.  The ceremony featured Langley, now a student at the University of Illinois , and his former coaches and athletic director, Chip Allison.  Allison recounted Langley’s accomplishments at Parkway South and his feats since leaving, including a 16th-place finish at the 2010 US Open.  Langley won the crowd’s approval in acknowledging not only his family but his girlfriend, Allison.  Following the ceremony Langley said he never could have dreamed of such an event when he was a student at Parkway South.  “This is one of the greatest honors I…

Parkway South Golfer Signs with Kansas State

Kyle Weldon is a high school golfer taking his talent to Kansas State University.

On Nov. 10, senior Kyle Weldon sat in the library at Parkway South High School with his parents, his golf coaches and a representative from Kansas State University awaiting the moment to sign with the Wildcats on a Division I golf scholarship. After an extensive search for the right college, which included Missouri State, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State and Southern Illinois at Edwardsville, Weldon determined Kansas State was the best fit.           "When I went on my visit (to Kansas State), I spent a lot of time at their golf course, which is the eighth-ranked golf course in the country.  I really liked the golf course and the indoor facility," said Weldon.
