Police: Man Walks Out of Schnucks Without Paying For $700 in Liquor, Groceries

Police said the man loaded his cart with liquor, meat and other groceries, wheeled them to the parking began loading them in his car.

The following information was supplied by the Town and Country Police Department in court documents. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made. A 64-year-old man tried to walk out of a Schnucks store in Town and Country Oct. 25 with more than $700 in liquor and groceries, according to a police report. Ronald B. Williams, of the 3900 block of Taplin Lane in Bridgeton, was charged Friday with felony stealing. Town and Country Police said Williams loaded a grocery cart at the Schnucks store at 1060 Woods Mille Plaza with numerous items at about 7:26 p.m. Oct. 25, including the following: Police said Williams wheeled the cart past cash registers without paying and continued into the parking lot where he began loading the items…
