Burroughs and Viz Both Get Some Wins in the Pool

Host Bombers capture a narrow victory by the score of 96-88.

The Visitation Academy had a pretty good swim at Burroughs Tuesday. The host Bombers narrowly won in a duel meet, 96-88. Senior Mary Murphy won two individual events for Viz while the Bombers were battling a good case of the flu. Steady Morgan Rinder scratched from the meet and went home early. Freshman phnom Maddie Wessell, winners of two individual events (50 free, 25.51) and the 100 free (56.60) and anchor on two-first place relays (200 medley) and 400 free was sub par, health wise too. But first to Murphy. “I thing it was a good meet. I swam my best time of the year,” said the swimmer who used to be on the Parkway Swim Club team.
