Candlelight Vigil For Town and Country Crash Victim Thursday

The family of the woman who died in a Town and Country car crash will hold a candlelight vigil Thursday night, according to police.

Town and Country police tell Patch they are working with the family members of Ciby Kimbrough to coordinate the vigil near Longview Farm Park Thursday night. Kimbrough, 70, of North St. Louis County died from injuries she suffered in the Jan. 26 car crash Clayton Road and Woods Hill Drive.  (Read Previous Story: Woman Dies, Driver Flees in Town and Country Car Crash) Police said the driver of the car that struck Kimbrough fled the scene. George Putney, 52, of St. Louis, later turned himself in to police and is charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident. Police said more charges are expected as the investigation continues and they are asking for the public's help to piece together Putney's whereabouts prior to the accident. …

Charges Filed in Fatal Hit and Run

A man is charged in connection to Thursday's fatal accident in Town and Country. Now police are asking for the public's help as the investigation continues.

Warrants were issued Monday morning for George Putney, 52, in connection to a fatal traffic crash that killed one woman, according to Town and Country police. Putney, of the 1300 block of Forrest Lane in St. Louis, is charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident, but police said more charges are expected as the investigation continues.  Putney is being held at the St. Louis County Justice Center on $15,000 bond, police stated in an email. He was wanted in connection to the fatal crash that happened Thursday, Jan. 26, at Clayton Road and Woods Hill Drive. Suspected Hit and Run Driver in Police Custody

Police say a man wanted in connection to Thursday's fatal accident in Town and Country turned himself in Sunday.

Town and Country police tell Patch that George Putney, 52, wanted in connection to the fatal crash at Clayton Road and Woods Hill Drive, turned himself in to police at the Town and Country Municipal Center Sunday morning.  (Read Previous Story: Woman Dies, Driver Flees in Town and Country Car Crash) Captain Gary Hoelzer tells Patch that charges against Putney are not officially filed, but police are seeking warrants for manslaughter and felony leaving the scene of an accident. Hoelzer expects charges to be filed Monday.
