Four Murry Brothers in desperate need of donations to stay alive.
The Murry family of Frontenac is desperately seeking bone marrow donors. All four of their boys have contracted a very rare blood disease Diamond Blackfan Anemia. All four brothers Sean 21, Patrick 17, Danny 10 and Timmy, 8 need transplants to stay alive and Sean is in dire need of a donor right now. All it takes to be on the National Bone Marrow Registry is a swab inside the cheek. Those with matching DNA's will have blood drawn from their arm or a needle draw from their hip. It may cause a little soreness, but that donation definitely can save a life. The next drive is this Saturday, April 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Ladue Horton Watkins High School, 1201 S. Warson Rd. A free swab kit can be mailed to anyone unable to attend. To learn more …

Ladue's Lauren Maclin and Taylor Robinson combined for 36 points as the Rams beat Mehlville, 55-35, on Tuesday night.
Heading into their girls basketball game on Tuesday night, one thing was obvious to the head coaches for Ladue and Mehlville: Ladue had the size advantage. This was on the mind of both coaches as they prepared for this matchup. "We really want to speed up the game," said Mehlville head coach Laura Bishop, when talking before the game about the size difference. "We are hoping to get lots of fast breaks that lead into easy layups." On the other hand, Ladue head coach Cord Dockery figured that Bishop was looking to make it a fast game, so his game plan was to slow it down and make it more of a half-court game. With senior Lauren Maclin and sophomore Taylor Robinson, Dockery was well aware of his size advantage and was able utilize it as Ladue…

In a matchup of nearly 7-foot senior centers, Ladue's Will Childs-Klein dominated Brentwood's Amadou Cisse as he led the Rams to a 65-44 road win.
In a matchup of nearly 7-foot senior centers, Ladue's Will Childs-Klein used his experience and strength to power his way through Brentwood's Amadou Cisse Tuesday night. Childs-Klein recorded a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds to go along with four blocked shots as he guided the Rams to a 65-44 road victory against the Eagles in their nonconference clash. Cisse, who is a 6-foot-11 transfer from Senegal, West Africa, with limited basketball experience, was unable to get on track against Childs-Klein. Cisse was strapped with foul trouble all night long and ended up fouling out in the fourth quarter without scoring a point. "We're going to have an advantage in the post most nights," Ladue head coach Chad Anderson said. "We're …

The Ladue girl's basketball team (3-0) returns its top five scorers from last year's team. Head coach Cord Dockery hopes star center Lauren Maclin can lead this group to major success.
(All stats and records obtained from stltoday.com) The Ladue girl's basketball squad (3-0) has a luxury that not many teams have. They return the top five scorers from last year's team, something that head coach Cord Dockery has never had happen in his career. Dockery cautions, however, that while it may appear that the Rams are more experienced, the devil is in the details. "I use the word experience very cautiously with this team. I am carrying 10 girls on my roster this year and six of them are sophomores. Out of those six only four have had any varsity experience. I still consider us to be a pretty young team with a lot of learning to do. They are a good group of girls and they are working hard and are getting better each week." Last …

Ladue may have struggled in its final game, but the Rams finished the season 11-2 and atop the Suburban East Conference.
The Ladue Rams 2010-2011 football campaign came to a resounding halt on Nov. 13 at the hands of the Warrenton Warriors in the Class 4 state playoffs. Ladue's turnovers, combined with the hammering running of Warrenton fullback Austin Black (136 yards), led to Ladue's season-ending 35-7 loss in the state quarterfinals. The Rams actually led the game 7-0, but fumbled on three of its next four possessions following their TD. "We were able to move the ball, and the first turnover we gave them the ball at the (20) and they went and scored," Ladue coach Mike Tarpey said. "To their credit, their kids capitalized. They're a very good football team, and their kids believe in what they're doing. When you've got two equal teams, the team that …
