Rams get 20 points from Andrew Maddock, and 16 points from Cornell Johnston in 60-58 victory over Cadets in championship game of DC Wilcutt Tournament.
From the moment he realized his team would be facing the No. 2 ranked team in all of St. Louis area basketball, in the championship game of the DC Wilcutt Tournament, Ladue High head coach Chad Anderson preached the same mantra over and over again. (For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) "I told our kids (Thursday) at practice, and (Friday) before the game," said Anderson, "in order for us to win the big games, you've got to believe in yourself, number one. You've got to compete. And you've got to trust your teammates. And I think that is the difference in this team and the past teams we've had. These kids believe." Well, that belief became reality late Friday night, as Ladue earned its biggest win -- possibly ever…

Cadets avenge loss in 2011 District Final to knock off the defending state champion Spartans.
In a matchup of two well-known traditional St. Louis soccer powers that felt a little strange to see any earlier than in a district final, CBC bested De Smet 2-0 in a first round/semifinal match Tuesday at W. Michael Ross Stadium in Town and Country. (For instant updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) It was physical on the pitch early and often as the two Metro Catholic Conference rivals went at it with the most on the line since De Smet's (12-9-4) win in the district championship in 2011 propelled the Spartans to a state title. But Tuesday, CBC (19-5-1) Sophomore Devon Boyce and Senior Forward LJ Adewumni found themselves in the thick of the Cadets' chances, and they capitalized. Boyce found the back of the net with just under 10…

Saturday evening, that schedule was released. Here's how it all will start shaking out: Thursday Friday You can search the entire playoff bracket by going to the Missouri State High School Activities Association website.
