Strict Admission Policy at Bellerive For Senior PGA Championship

Here's what you need to know if you plan to attend this week's Senior PGA Championship in Town and Country. KSDK reports spectators will need more than just their ticket to come and go as they please.

According to KSDK.com, once you've entered the Senior PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club and your ticket is scanned, you will not be able to use your ticket again to enter the event. If you plan to leave and then return to Bellerive, you must get a security stamp on your hand at one of the spectator entrance gates and you will only be able to return if you have that hand stamp and your original ticket, KSDK reports. Celebrity Chefs Scheduled For Senior PGA at Bellerive

Local and celebrity chefs, including Pat and Gina Neely, Cat Cora and Andrew Zimmern, will reportedly be part of the Senior PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club later this month.

Local and celebrity chefs, including Pat and Gina Neely, Cat Cora and Andrew Zimmern, will be part of the Senior PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club later this month, KSDK reports. According to KSDK, the chefs can be found in theKitchenAid Fairway Club during the 74th Senior PGA Championship. On May 24, KitchenAid will host Cookin' and Rockin' for the Cure which will benefit Cook for the Cure, a partnership with Susan G. Komen, according to KSDK. Uncertainty Over Vijay Singh, But Popular Field Expected at Bellerive

Housed out of an inglorious trailer based in the parking lot at Bellerive Country Club in West St. Louis County, preparations are well underway for the 2013 Senior PGA Tour Championship, sponsored by KitchenAid. You're going to start noticing some construction traffic in the Ladue Road area in a few weeks. Tournament organizers are hoping that a strong field lures spectator traffic to the course for the week leading up to Memorial Day. They won't have a firm set of commitments until sometime in April, but organizers expect Kansas City resident and 2014 Ryder Cup Captain Tom Watson to play, along with Hale Irwin and Jay Haas, who have ties to the St. Louis area. Parkway Grad Scott Langley Qualifies for 2013 PGA Tour

Parkway South graduate and West County native Scott Langley qualified for the 2013 PGA Tour.

The Country Club of St. Albans is pleased to announce one if its members has qualified for the 2013 PGA Tour. Scott Langley, shot a four-under-par 68 in the final round of qualifying at TPC Stadium Course in La Quinta, CA this week.  Langley finished 17th, making him one of top 25 finishers in the PGA Tour qualifying tournament, giving him a 2013 PGA Tour Card. “Scott is a tremendous young golfer who will be an exciting addition to the PGA Tour next year,” said The Country Club of St. Albans General Manager David Derfel. “St. Louis has a long history of golfers on the PGA …

Bellerive Wants You: Senior PGA Volunteers Needed

For a fee, volunteers will get access to PGA perks.

UPDATED: July 19- The Senior PGA Tour is letting it be known....it is open for business ahead of next May's Senior PGA Championship, to be held at Bellerive Country Club. Read: It's Official: Bellerive Gets PGA Tour Majors The event, scheduled for May 21-26, 2013, will require approximately 1,600 volunteers to help with everything from transportation to player leader boards. In a news release, the PGA announced last week that registration for volunteers was now open.  There is a $135.22 fee to volunteer, which covers the following: Volunteers have the opportunity to choose their position, which will be filled on a first-come first serve basis. Town and Country Police Raise Money For Charities & Officers In Need

Some of the proceeds of the department's annual golf tournament with Town & Country Police went to to Mike Vernon, a Florissant officer recently paralyzed while shot on duty.

Every year, members of the Town and Country Police Department team with their counterparts in Creve Coeur to hold a charity golf tournament to benefit causes around the St. Louis area.  The tallies are still coming in from this year's event, held May 25 at Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, IL, but the approximately $35,000 in proceeds are already flowing. Matt Crosby, a former Rock Hill Police Officer who was paralyzed after being shot during a domestic assault call in 2010, received $500. Not long after the tournament was held, another local officer found himself in need. On May 28, Florissant Police officer Mike Vernon was shot in the line of duty and while the prognosis is not final, Vernon faces the possibility of paralysis. …

Senior Games Golfers Show Their Stuff In Creve Coeur

The 9-hole golf competition in the St. Louis Senior Olympics took place Friday at the Creve Coeur Golf Course.

Nearly 30 golfers hit the links at the Creve Coeur Golf Course Friday for the 9-hole golf competition in the 2012 St. Louis Senior Olympics. Men and women ranging in age from 59 to 91 were out to see if they could master the course. Patch caught up with golfers from Creve Coeur, Town and Country, Oakville, University City, St. Charles, and the city of St. Louis. One Year Until Pro Golf Returns To Bellerive

St. Louis Public Radio reports a club executive is on a fact-finding mission at this week's Senior PGA championship in Michigan.

One year from now, the eyes of the Senior PGA tour will be firmly focused on Bellerive Country Club, which will host the 2013 Senior PGA Championship. The 2012 version of the event is being contested this weekend in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Club General Manager Jeffery Kreafle is there taking notes, and as he told St. Louis Public Radio, trying to take lots of notes.  Club officials said last year when the PGA Tour announced the 2013 event and the 2018 PGA Championship would be played at Bellerive that they expected the course to essentially remain as-is for next year. As of earlier this month, a spokesman for the state department of Economic Development told Patch that an economic impact study for the events had not yet been completed. …
