The next-generation gaming console goes on sale today, but shortages are expected for those without pre-orders.

It's release day for the latest gaming console from Nintendo and only the quick or those with pre-orders are likely to find one in stores today.  (For instant updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) The Nintendo Wii U debuts at $300 and likely to be one of the most sought-after items of the holiday season with the company hoping to move 3.5 million units this year. Customers at Qdoba restaurants across the country, and here in West County, get free food on Tuesday, if they don't mind a little PDA. Both the Town and Country Qdoba in Town and Country Crossing and the Manchester Qdoba near the Manchester Highlands are participating in the buy one, get one free for a kiss deal. The nationwide chain is bringing back a Valentine's Day promotion that, according to spokeswoman Ashley Cohen, tens of thousands of customers took advantage of in 2011. Everybody remembers waking up Christmas morning and running to see what was left under the tree.
