Town and Country Car Crash Victim Dedicated to Her Church

The family of Beverly Fabian, who died when her car struck a telephone pole, tells Patch she was a woman dedicated to her church and to helping others.

The funeral for Beverly Fabian, the Town and Country woman who died Wednesday from injuries she sustained in a one car accident near Queeny Park, was Saturday at Ballwin Baptist Church. Fabian attended that church since 1971, according to her brother Ed Fabian. "Beveryly was very church oriented and always about taking care of other people. Not a very materialistic person," Fabien tells Patch. "That's how she lived her life, always taking care of others." Funeral For Town and Country Car Crash Victim is Saturday

The funeral and visitation for Beverly Fabian is this weekend. Fabian died when her car crossed the center line of South Mason Road and struck a telephone pole.

Schrader Funeral Home is handling services for Beverly Fabian, the Town and Country woman who died Wednesday from injuries she sustained in a one car accident near Queeny Park. Visitation is begins at noon and the funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ballwin Baptist Church, 15101 Manchester Road. Fabian attended church there since 1971, according to her brother Ed Fabian. According to Town and Country Police Captain Gary Hoelzer, Beverly Fabian, 62, of the 1500 block of Foxleigh crossed the center line of South Mason Road and struck a telephone pole. Fundraiser For Muslim Funeral Home Friday at West County Mosque

A fundraiser to build a "first of its kind" Muslim funeral home will be held Friday evening at the Daar-ul-Islam mosque in West County, the Post-Dispatch reports.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the event in West County will raise money for what will be Missouri's first Muslim funeral home. The need for a muslim funeral home became apparent to the idea's originator, Adil Imdad, when his cousin died and the family dealt with the "absence of Muslim ritual following her death," according to the Post's report. Currently, Muslims in Missouri are buried in sections of Christian cemeteries and they are typically guided through the burial process by non-Muslims, the Post reported. Manchester Funeral Protest Lawsuit Back in Court Monday

An appeals court is set to re-hear the case of Phelps v. the City of Manchester which involves the protest of Westboro Baptist Church at soldiers' funerals.

An appeals court accepted the City of Manchester’s petition to re-hear the case Phelps v. the City of Manchester. The Westboro Baptists Church and ACLU sued Manchester over a city ordinance restricting protests or pickets at funerals. The church regularly pickets funerals of dead American soldiers, claiming the death of soldiers is a punishment for America's tolerance of gay rights. In October, a three-judge panel ruled in favor of the Westboro Baptist Church and the ACLU, arguing Manchester’s ordinance violated the church’s first amendment rights. However, in November, the City of Manchester, filed a petition for rehearing “en banc," asking for the entire Eighth District Court of Appeals bench of judges to hear the case rather than the …

Manchester police said a teen was struck and killed Friday night while trying to cross Route 141. A family spokesperson now shares information about the teen and how his family is handling the tragic accident.
