Where to Watch Stan 'The Man' Musial's Funeral

Patch partners KTVI Fox 2 and KPLR News 11 will broadcast the funeral on television and live stream it on their websites.

Crowds filled the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis Thursday to pay tribute to Stan "The Man" Musial. A private family funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26. Services Set For Stan Musial

The St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame legend died Saturday at the age of 92.

A public visitation for Stan Musial, the St. Louis Cardinals legend who died at his Ladue home Saturday at the age of 92, will be held Thursday at Cathedral Basillica, MLB.com reported Monday. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at the same location Saturday starting at 11:00 a.m. KMOX reports that Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York, the Most Reverend Robert J. Carlson, Archbishop of St. Louis, and Bishop Richard Stika will officiate the mass. A procession will then lead to Busch Stadium for a ceremony at the Musial Statue. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, St. Louis County Councilman Steve Stenger, D-Affton, wants to pass legislation that would restrict funeral protests. (Read Previous Story: Appeals Court Rules Manchester Can Restrict Funeral Protests) Stenger wants legislation that would mirror Creve Coeur's city ordinance which was passed this week by the city council, the Post reports. Creve Coeur and Clayton have both recently passed ordinances similar to Manchester's city ordinance which prohibits protests within 300 feet of a funeral one hour before and one hour after services. 34-Year-Old St. Louis Area FBI Agent Dies Unexpectedly

The FBI says Special Agent Jarrod M. Petrelli led “Operation Scorpion King” in dismantling a St. Louis area heroin trafficking ring.

According to the St. Louis division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Special Agent Jarrod M. Petrelli passed away unexpectedly while working on Dec. 6. He died just three days before his 35th birthday of natural causes, according to the FBI. Petrelli was reportedly assigned to the St. Louis area after joining the FBI in 2008. He had lived here with his family since 2009 and leaves behind a wife and three young daughters. The FBI stated in a news release that the special agent led “Operation Scorpion King” in dismantling a St. Louis area heroin trafficking ring.  Following is the news release issued by the FBI Monday afternoon. Westboro Baptist Church Protests Court's Manchester Funeral Protest Ruling

A few Westboro Baptist Church members, known for their anti-gay protests at the funerals of U.S. soldiers, protested an appeals court ruling in Manchester Saturday. Police and local residents were also on hand.

Saturday, a handful of Wesboro Baptist Church members protested an appeals court ruling that was handed down Tuesday. As previously reported by Patch, an appeals court ruled this week in favor of the City of Manchester in regard to a lawsuit filed by Wesboro Baptist Church members challenging Manchester's funeral protest ordinance. The ordinance prohibits protests within 300 feet of a funeral one hour before and one hour after services.
