Manchester Aldermen Sworn in to Serve New Terms

Manchester aldermen re-elected in April were sworn in for their new terms Monday night. Check out the photo slide show of the event here.

Manchester's three re-elected aldermen were sworn in to their new two-year terms Monday night. (Sign up here for the FREE Patch Newsletter, including Breaking News Alerts.)  Paul Hamill of Ward I, Michael Clement of Ward II and John Schrader of Ward III all kept their seats in the April 2 election. Alderman Marilyn Ottenad was once again elected as board president. Ottenad has served as the board president since 2003. The position is elected annually. Mayor, Alderman Keep Seats in April Election

Town and Country Mayor Jon Dalton and Alderman John Schrader both kept their seats in the only two contested municipal races in Town and Country and Manchester.

UPDATED 12:50 p.m., Wed., April 3- (Sign up here for the FREE Patch Newsletter, including Breaking News Alerts.) The following is based unofficial returns as reported by the St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners with 100 percent of precincts counted. The results of the April 2 municipal election are in and, although they aren't official yet, it appears the incumbents won the only two contested races in Town and Country and Manchester. Tuesday night, Patch reached out to all four candidates in the contested races for a comment, but it was after 10 p.m. when election results came in and calls were made to candidates. Incumbents Keep Parkway School Board Seats

Incumbents Sam Sciortino and Tom Appelbaum kept their Parkway School Board seats in the April 2 election.

UPDATED 12:50 p.m., Wed., April 3- Voters decided Tuesday that incumbent Parkway School Board members Sam Sciortino and Tom Appelbaum should keep their positions. Voters selected two of the eight candidates running for the open seats in the Parkway School Board election. Board members serve three-year terms. Sciortino received the most votes, with 5,049 votes, or 21.26 percent. Appelbaum garnered 3,596 votes, or 15.14 percent. School board candidate Jenifer Clifton wasn't far behind with 3,338 votes, or 14.05 percent, but there were only two open seats.
