Golf Tournament Raises Money in Teen's Memory

On Saturday morning, the Forest Park golf course was full in an effort to raise money for the Corey J. Donnelly Memorial Fund.

Under a perfect blue sky and pleasant 70-degree weather, more than 100 people gathered at Forest Park's golf course to honor the memory of Corey Donnelly, a Parkway South High School graduate who lost his life in a tragic car accident in 2003. Donnelly Memorial Fund, which was established to provide scholarships, instruments and lessons to students that can not afford them. Golf Tournament Benefits Corey J. Donnelly Memorial

Saturday, the 2011 Corey J. Donnelly Memorial Golf Tournament takes place in Forest Park. Proceeds go toward Parkway South music scholarships and much more.

Saturday, friends, family and community members will come out for the 2011 Corey J. Donnelly Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament is held every other year. This is the fourth year for the fundraiser, held at Forest Park. Donnelly is a 2002 Parkway South High School graduate who was killed in an automobile accident in April 2003. He was a 19-year-old student at St. Louis Community College at Meramec. Donnelly loved the marching band and was a member of the South High band all four years of high school, his mother Laurie King said. Since his death, his family has created the Corey J. Donnelly Memorial Fund to help other Parkway South students pursue music with funding for lessons and scholarships for seniors. This golf tournament raises …

Concert Dedicates Amphitheater to Donnelly's Memory

The new amphitheater at Schroeder Park was christened with its first concert Thursday evening, honoring its namesake, Corey J. Donnelly.

Manchester's new Corey J. Donnelly Memorial Amphitheater hosted its first concert Thursday evening, featuring performances by the Parkway South Symphonic Band and local musician Wayne Givens. Construction has been underway since last year, but the amphitheater at Schroeder Park, built to keep the memory of a local teen alive, is finally complete. Thursday night, the facility was dedicated to 2002 Parkway South graduate Corey Donnelly who was killed in an automobile accident in April 2003. First Concert, Dedication of New Amphitheater This Week

Manchester's new amphitheater in Schroeder Park will be dedicated in memory of Parkway South graduate Corey Donnelly Thursday night. The amphitheater's first concert, in honor of Donnelly, will also be held.

Construction has been underway since last year, but the amphitheater at Manchester's Schroeder Park, built to keep the memory of a local teen alive, is finally complete and ready to be used. Thursday night, the facility will be dedicated to 2002 Parkway South graduate Corey Donnelly who was killed in an automobile accident in April 2003. He was 19 years old and a student at St. Louis Community College, Meremac at the time of his death. New Amphitheater Will Commemorate Teen's Love of Music and Life

Scholarships and a new amphitheater in Manchester keep Parkway South graduate Corey Donnelly's memory alive.

Corey Donnelly loved music, loved life and loved Schroeder Park in Manchester. Soon, park visitors will be able to enjoy music in the shadow of a new amphitheater bearing his name. Construction began last month on the amphitheater, which will be dedicated in the name of the 2002 Parkway South High School graduate who was killed in an automobile accident in April 2003. He was 19-years-old and a student at Meramec Community College. The park is located on Old Meramec Station Road, south of Manchester Road, just down the street from where Donnelly lived.
