Police said equipment was stolen and phone and internet service was briefly disrupted for approximately 130 customers.
The following information was supplied by the Manchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made. Detectives are investigating after police were called by Charter Communications for a report of communications equipment being stolen. The incident happened on Jan. 23 at the company offices in the 1600 block of Country Stone Drive in Manchester. Police said a large piece of communications equipment was stolen and phone and internet service was briefly disrupted for approximately 130 customers. This was the scene outside Charter Communications Wednesday night.
West County EMS and Fire Protection District crews, along with Town and Country police, responded to a call of smoke in the building at Town and Country's Charter Communications just before 8 p.m. Wednesday. The photos in this article show the scene in the Charter Commons complex near Highway 141 and Clayton Road after the call came in. Crews on the scene tell Patch a search of the building revealed an overheated blower motor on the roof had caused the smoke. There was no fire.

An incentive package to bring Charter Communications’ headquarters to Connecticut has been delayed one month due to the amount of a loan being received by Charter from the state.
Anita Lamont, spokesperson for Charter Communications, tells Town and Country - Manchester Patch the incentives packaged originally approved by Connecticut's Bond Commission is delayed by one month because a loan amount in the package now exceeds what was initially approved by the state. Charter is relocating its corporate headquarters from Town and Country to Connecticut. Less than 100 jobs are leaving the St. Louis area, according to Charter.
Charter Communications is relocating its headquarters from Town and Country, located just off Interstate 270, to Connecticut. Charter Spokesperson Anita Lamont tells Patch that the move involves Charter's executive team which consists of nine executives and their support. "There are less than 100 people who would be going from St. Louis to Connecticut. Employees are back in the building after the bomb squad was called in to investigate a reported threat at Charter's Town and Country headquarters off I-270 Wednesday.

Town and Country police responded to a possible bomb threat around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Charter Communications corporate headquarters, 12405 Powerscourt Drive, in Town and Country. The building is located just off Interstate-270. Police explained the situation in an email Thursday afternoon that stated employees are now back in the building and no bomb was found. According to police, the building was evacuate after someone used a marker and wrote “BOMB” on a refrigerator door in the employee break room.
