At Monday night's Manchester Board of Aldermen meeting, a vote could come to approve Manchester's 2013 fiscal year budget. As previously reported by Patch, David Tuberty, director of finance for the city of Manchester, gave a presentation on the proposed 2013 fiscal budget at the last board of aldermen meeting. Tuberty said the city calculated that there would be projected revenue of all funds combined of $18 million with projected expenditures of $17.6 million for the overall 2013 budget. A public hearing for the city's 2012 property tax rate is scheduled for Monday night's Town and Country Board of Aldermen meeting. The city is once again proposing to maintain the city's current property tax rate at zero percent. Currently, residents in Town and Country do not pay a city property tax. Each year, cities across St. Louis County have to set their property tax rates. The city's property tax rate has been zero percent since 1996, according to City Clerk Pam Burdt. The Manchester Board of Aldermen set the 2012 property tax rates Monday night. Most rates will remain the same in 2012 as as they were in 2011 and 2010 and some even decreased. At the previous meeting, Manchester Finance Director Dave Tuberty presented a proposal for the 2012 property tax rates to the board of aldermen.
