Clayton Road Trail and Resurfacing Plans For March

This winter's wet weather has not only caused delays for construction of the Clayton Road Trail and Resurfacing Project, but it's also created soggy, muddy conditions related to the grading for the trail. Town and Country Department of Public Works Director Craig Wilde just met with the project's contractor to discuss those issues and the work schedule over the coming weeks.   Wilde released the following email update on the Clayton Road Trail Project.  This week, they will complete most of the peripheral items such as demolition of remaining sidewalk, storm sewer pipe work and the last of the access ramps.  Next week, we anticipate the weather to be good enough to continue the rough grading for the trail itself.  The contractor has been …

Clayton Road Project Update: Rain a Pain, But Clearing Nearly Done

The recent rain has slowed down the Clayton Road Project a bit, but clearing should be complete this week.

The recent rain has slowed down the Clayton Road Project a bit, but clearing should be complete this week. Crews have spent several weeks removing trees and obstacles for the new path. Demolition of the existing trail will continue over the next week and culverts will begin being installed, Department of Public Works Director Craig Wilde wrote in an email.  Wilde released the following email update on the Clayton Road Trail Project.  Wow, this rain is really slowing us down. Omni only has about one more day of clearing operations and they will be complete. We removed the east side of the entrance at the firehouse and had it replaced with a small complication.
