One person was reportedly cut from the wreckage after the accident on the outskirts of Manchester.
St. Louis County police said a pick-up truck crashed Monday night near the intersection of Highway 141 and Big Bend Road around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday. Police said alcohol may have played a role in the crash. Two people were hospitalized as a result of the accident involving the 2004 Ford F350 pick-up truck. According to FOX 2 News, the truck hit a concrete post and one person had to be extricated from the wreckage. Police tell Patch, two 21-year-olds were taken to Mercy Hospital, one with a broken right leg.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is warning drivers to avoid Highway 141 from Big Bend to Hawkins roads. MoDOT said the traffic signals along Hwy 141 are not working and drivers can expect long delays. According to MoDOT, a power line was struck on Marshall Road. Motorists will need to treat the signals as a full stop in all directions," MoDOT spokesperson Kara Price stated in an email. "Motorists can expect long delays, so use alternate routes." Price stated MoDOT crews have posted stop signs along the route to help with traffic until power is restored.
