Weather Forces Early Start For Town and Country Fireworks
The threat of storms did not stop the music, food and fun at Town and Country's Fire and Ice Festival, however fireworks started a bit early as a precaution.
The rain came and went, but did not stay at the Fire and Ice Festival in Town and Country Saturday. However, the fireworks display that was meant to start at 9 p.m. began at 8:30 p.m. as lightning and dark clouds began to lurk in the horizon. The event, which took place in the empty lot behind Target in Town and Country Crossing, included music by the Town and Country Symphonic Orchestra as well the Town and Country-based Featherstone Drive Band. They played both Rock'n Roll, classic, and Americana music. The Fire and Ice festival is Town and Country's early celebration of the Fourth of July weekend.
