Hope to Families Dealing With Alzheimer's Offered in Parkway Grad's New Book

West County native Stefania Silvestri hopes her new book will help families dealing with Alzheimer's and dementia by sharing her own struggle as a caregiver.

Wash U to Conduct Major Alzheimer’s Prevention Trial

The trial will be held in 2013 at Washington University School of Medicine.

Leading scientists have selected the first drugs to be evaluated in a worldwide clinical study to determine whether they can prevent Alzheimer’s disease. The pioneering trial, expected to start by early 2013, initially will test three promising drugs, each designed to target Alzheimer’s in different ways.
