Manchester Aldermen Sworn in to Serve New Terms

Manchester aldermen re-elected in April were sworn in for their new terms Monday night. Check out the photo slide show of the event here.

Manchester's three re-elected aldermen were sworn in to their new two-year terms Monday night. (Sign up here for the FREE Patch Newsletter, including Breaking News Alerts.)  Paul Hamill of Ward I, Michael Clement of Ward II and John Schrader of Ward III all kept their seats in the April 2 election. Alderman Marilyn Ottenad was once again elected as board president. Ottenad has served as the board president since 2003. The position is elected annually. April Election 2013: What Your Aldermen Candidates Want to Change in Your City

PART 4: There are seven open aldermen seats in Town and Country and Manchester, with eight candidates running in the April 2 election. Only one race is contested. Prepare yourself by reading their responses to recent 'Patch' questions.

There are seven total open aldermen seats in Town and Country and Manchester, with eight candidates running. Raintree Learning Community Aldermen are set to once again discuss the architectural review of Raintree Learning Community, the new school set to move into Town and Country off Mason Road. As previously reported by Patch, in December, the architectural review by the Town and Country Board of Alderman for Raintree was continued to the Jan. 14 meeting because it was also continued until January by the city's architectural review board. Town and Country aldermen are set to vote on easements around the Clayton Road Pedestrian Enhancement Project and a maintenance agreement the sewer district Monday night.

The board will vote on an ordinance regarding easements and settlements with property owners around the Clayton Road Pedestrian Enhancement Project and vote on two ordinances that would approve a maintenance agreement with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District relating to the Clayton Road project. Aldermen Address Yard Waste, Clayton Road Project

Town and Country aldermen are sent to vote on yard waste contracts and discuss the next steps necessary to move forward in the Clayton Road enhancement project.

Town and Country Aldermen will address a number of issues Monday night.   They will likely move forward with the fall yard waste program for residents. Monday they will vote on entering into a contract with each of the city's waste haulers that would provide the service to residents.   (Follow Patch on Facebook for updates- check out our page and "Like" it here.)  The plan would offer four free yard waste pick-up days in November, whether a resident already pays for yard waste service or not. If the resident doesn't currently pay for yard waste service, they'll get it free. West County Fire Changes, Longview Parking & Yard Waste in Town and Country

Aldermen have a packed agenda Monday night.  Prior to the meeting, aldermen are set to discuss personnel changes at the West County EMS & Fire Protection District. As previously reported by Patch and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, West County Fire Chief David Frazier was demoted this month from chief to deputy chief of logistics. Patch has confirmed that Deputy chief Jeff Sadtler is now as chief of the district as it searches for Frazier's replacement. The West County fire district serves a number of cities, including Town and Country, Manchester and nearby parts of unincorporated St. Louis County.  Aldermen are also set to vote on whether to authorize the city to enter into an agreement with Sterling Engineering to bring an engineer on …

The Manchester Board of Aldermen meets Monday night.  Aldermen are set to discuss whether the city will renew its contract with the Parkway School District which allows an officer to serve as the district's resource officer.
