Town and Country Woman Dies in One Car Crash

The woman crossed the center line of South Mason Road near Queeny Park and struck a telephone pole, according to police.

A Town and Country woman died from injuries she sustained in a one car accident around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday near Queeny Park. According to Town and Country Police Captain Gary Hoelzer, Beverly Fabian, 62, of the 1500 block of Foxleigh crossed the center line of South Mason Road and struck a telephone pole. Multi-Car Crash on Highway 40 Backs Up Traffic

Police tell Patch an "inattentive" driver near a MoDOT work area likely caused the crash Monday afternoon.

Town and Country police and West County EMS and Fire Protection District crews responded to the crash at Highway 40 and Mason Road around 1:50 p.m. Monday. According to police, multiple cars were involved in the accident that caused a "considerable back up" in traffic. Authorities tell Patch an inattentive driver likely caused the crash. UPDATE: Fatal Crash in MoDOT I-270 Work Zone

One person was killed Friday morning when they struck a work vehicle in the I-270 work zone between Highway 44 and Manchester Road.

The crash happened around 3:15 a.m. Friday in the northbound lanes of I-270 near Dougherty Ferry Road when a driver struck a workers vehicle, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. Ronald Schuh, 37, of Pevely was killed in the crash according to the report. Police said Schuh's car was struck by Emily Davis, 41, of Fenton as she changed lanes in a Missouri Department of Transportation work zone. Schuh then struck a rock bluff and overturned. Davis also struck a worker's parked car. The crash had traffic on Interstate 270 backed up traffic for hours, even into the morning rush hour. Runaway Ambulance Crosses Weidman Road, No Injuries

The ambulance crossed Weidman Road and struck a building as crews were responding to medical emergency at Manchester's Golds Gym.

A West County EMS and Fire Protection District ambulance was on a medical call Thursday morning when it rolled down a parking lot, crossed Weidman road without hitting any cars and hit an office building across the street. "It went across Weidman Road and onto Consort (Drive), the office park across the street," West County Deputy Chief Jeff Sadtler tells Patch. "It broke a window. It literally barely touched the building. The corner of the rear bumper touched the building and broke it. Other than the broken window, there was no structural damage." Candlelight Vigil For Town and Country Crash Victim Thursday

The family of the woman who died in a Town and Country car crash will hold a candlelight vigil Thursday night, according to police.

Town and Country police tell Patch they are working with the family members of Ciby Kimbrough to coordinate the vigil near Longview Farm Park Thursday night. Kimbrough, 70, of North St. Louis County died from injuries she suffered in the Jan. 26 car crash Clayton Road and Woods Hill Drive.  (Read Previous Story: Woman Dies, Driver Flees in Town and Country Car Crash) Police said the driver of the car that struck Kimbrough fled the scene. George Putney, 52, of St. Louis, later turned himself in to police and is charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident. Charges Filed in Fatal Hit and Run

A man is charged in connection to Thursday's fatal accident in Town and Country. Now police are asking for the public's help as the investigation continues.

Warrants were issued Monday morning for George Putney, 52, in connection to a fatal traffic crash that killed one woman, according to Town and Country police. Putney, of the 1300 block of Forrest Lane in St. Louis, is charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident, but police said more charges are expected as the investigation continues.  Putney is being held at the St. Louis County Justice Center on $15,000 bond, police stated in an email. He was wanted in connection to the fatal crash that happened Thursday, Jan. 26, at Clayton Road and Woods Hill Drive. Suspected Hit and Run Driver in Police Custody

Police say a man wanted in connection to Thursday's fatal accident in Town and Country turned himself in Sunday.

Town and Country police tell Patch that George Putney, 52, wanted in connection to the fatal crash at Clayton Road and Woods Hill Drive, turned himself in to police at the Town and Country Municipal Center Sunday morning.  (Read Previous Story: Woman Dies, Driver Flees in Town and Country Car Crash) Captain Gary Hoelzer tells Patch that charges against Putney are not officially filed, but police are seeking warrants for manslaughter and felony leaving the scene of an accident. Hoelzer expects charges to be filed Monday. UPDATE: Woman Dies, Driver Flees in Town and Country Car Crash

Police are searching for the driver they said left the scene of a fatal accident in Town and Country.

According to the Town and Country Police Department, Ciby Kimbrough, 70, died after a crash that happened around 7:40 p.m., Thursday at Clayton Road and Woods Hill Drive. Two cars were involved in the crash. Kimbrough was driving one of the cars; police said the driver fled the accident scene in his car after the accident. That car was later found just west of the accident scene, but the driver was gone. Friday police said they are searching for the registered owner of that vehicle, George Putney, of the 1300 block of Forrest Lane Court in St. Louis. Driver Hits Historic Manchester Building

A driver was arrested after crashing into a historic building in Manchester and damaging it to the point it was deemed unsafe.

A Manchester photography studio and insurance office are open for business again after a car hit the building at the intersection of Manchester Road and Henry Avenue. According the Manchester Police Department, officers got the call around 1:45 a.m., Dec. 24. Manchester Police Captain Chuck Hunn tells Town and Country-Manchester Patch that a woman driving a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant struck the building at 14394/14390 Manchester Road which housed Kowal Photography and Kirn Insurance. Hunn said initially the woman veered of the road and hit the building with the right front of her car, but the impact caused extensive damage to the car and the building. Manchester Accident During Freezing Rain

This accident happened Friday night during the winter weather advisory across the metro area.

Above are photos of an accident at the intersection of Manchester Road and Enchanted Parkway. It happened around 9 p.m. Friday. Only one car appeared to be involved and it appeared to have run into a sign. The accident happened during Friday evening's freezing rain. A city truck was on scene spreading what appeared to to salt around the scene of the accident.
