Two Hospitalized After Crash at Highway 141 and Big Bend Road

One person was reportedly cut from the wreckage after the accident on the outskirts of Manchester.

St. Louis County police said a pick-up truck crashed Monday night near the intersection of Highway 141 and Big Bend Road around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday. Police said alcohol may have played a role in the crash. Two people were hospitalized as a result of the accident involving the 2004 Ford F350 pick-up truck. According to FOX 2 News, the truck hit a concrete post and one person had to be extricated from the wreckage. Police tell Patch, two 21-year-olds were taken to Mercy Hospital, one with a broken right leg.

Car Crash Leads to DWI Arrest in Town and Country

Police and fire crews reportedly responded to the scene to find the wrecked car vacant and the driver and passenger hiding nearby.

The following information was supplied by the Town and Country Police Department. One person was arrested for DWI after a car accident off Highway 40 in Town and Country. Town and Country police tell Patch, the accident happened just after 11 p.m. Monday along westbound Highway 40 before Maryville Center Drive. Authorities said the driver lost control of the car then over corrected, which caused the vehicle to skid off the highway coming to rest in a drainage culvert between the interstate and North Outer 40 Road, in front of West County Assembly of God Church. Cardinals' David Freese Wrecks Rover to Avoid Deer in West County

St. Louis Cardinals' player and 2011 World Series MVP David Freese was not injured when his SUV struck a tree in Wildwood Thursday, but his vehicle had to be towed from the accident scene.

St. Louis Cardinal third baseman David Freese was involved in a one-vehicle traffic accident on Thursday at 2:31 p.m. when he lost control of his 2011 black Range Rover to avoid deer on the roadway, according to St. Louis County Police. Freese then struck a tree at the intersection of Wildhorse Creek and Rieger roads in Wildwood. (Sign up here for the FREE Patch Newsletter, including Breaking News Alerts.) Freese was not injured during the incident, according to authorities. Two Hospitalized After Crash at Route 141 And Highway 40 Monday

Two vehicles were involved in this crash at Route 141 and Highway 40 Monday afternoon. One driver had to be extricated from their car.

Town and Country police and West County EMS and Fire Protection District rescue crews responded to the accident at Route 141 and Highway 40 around 1 p.m. Monday. No word yet on exactly how the crash happened, but one car struck a utility pole head on at the corner of the Highway 40 entrance ramp and South Outer 40 Road. Deputy Chief Tim Dorsey tells Patch they got the call just before 1 p.m. Two SUVs were involved in the accident. The only person in each vehicle was the driver. Wet Roads Likely a Factor in Four-Car Crash on Highway 40

A pregnant woman was taken to the hospital after an accident involving four cars on Highway 40 Tuesday.

Town and Country police and crews from West County EMS and Protection District responded to the accident on westbound Highway 40 just after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Four vehicles were involved in the crash right before the Maryville Center Drive exit. Police said it appears westbound traffic slowed suddenly, probably due to a crash they were already working on the eastbound side of Highway 40. Drivers were unable to stop before striking vehicles in front of them, according to police  Wet roads likely played a role in the accident, authorities confirmed. Police said there were no serious injuries, but a pregnant woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

A man was reportedly struck by a car while riding his bike through the Barretts Elementary School parking lot. He reportedly suffered head injures that are not life threatening.

Wet Weather Blamed for Weekend Car Accident

Slick roads are likely to blame for a truck sliding off the road at Highway 40 and Route 141.

Town and Country police say the rain and slick roads are likely to blame for this weekend accident.  Police tell Town and Country - Manchester Patch they got the call just after 12:30 p.m. Saturday of this truck off the road at the Highway 40 on ramp right at Route 141.  Authorities said the road was wet and it appeared the truck just slid off into the ditch.  This was the only vehicle involved in the incident and no one was injured, police said. Traffic in the area was not impacted by the accident.

Man Charged With Assault in DUI Crash That Injured Passenger

Police said the driver had slurred speech, smelled of alcohol and refused to take a breathalyzer in the Town and Country crash on I-270.

A Waterloo, IL man faces criminal charges in an accident at Interstate 64 and I-270 in Town and Country. Police said he was driving while intoxicated. (Sign up here for the FREE Patch Newsletter, including Breaking News Alerts.) Ryan Williams, 24, was charged Friday with second-degree assault in the May 17 accident. Town and Country Police said a passenger in Williams' car had cuts and bruises after Williams drove into a guardrail on a ramp leading from I-64 onto I-270. An officer said Williams had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol and refused to take a breathalyzer test. Bond was set at $7,500 for Williams. One Injured After Striking Clayton Road Utility Pole Head-On

An accident on Clayton Road left one person injured and shut off power to area residents for nearly 12 hours.

Power is restored to West County residents Friday after a crash on Clayton Road Thursday night near the border of Town and Country and Chesterfield. Town and Country police responded to the accident just west of Woods Mill Road around 7:30 p.m, but tell Patch the location of the crash, between Woods Mill Road and Village Green Parkway, is actually Chesterfield. West County EMS and Fire Protection District emergency crews also responded. According to West County Deputy Chief Jeff Sadtler, one car was involved in the accident in front of Target and hit a nearby utility pole head-on into. Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-270 Near Highway 40, Avoid Area

MoDOT is reporting a multi-car crash on northbound I-270 near Highway 40. Drivers are reporting the interstate is a parking lot. Avoid the area.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is reporting a multi-car crash on northbound I-270 near Highway 40 and Ladue Road. Creve Coeur crews are on the scene that is very near Town and Country. Drivers are reporting the interstate is a parking lot and lanes are closed. MoDOT is advising drivers to avoid the area the area and find an alternate route.
