Strict Admission Policy at Bellerive For Senior PGA Championship

Here's what you need to know if you plan to attend this week's Senior PGA Championship in Town and Country. KSDK reports spectators will need more than just their ticket to come and go as they please.

According to KSDK.com, once you've entered the Senior PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club and your ticket is scanned, you will not be able to use your ticket again to enter the event. If you plan to leave and then return to Bellerive, you must get a security stamp on your hand at one of the spectator entrance gates and you will only be able to return if you have that hand stamp and your original ticket, KSDK reports. Guests are also being asked to display their ticket in plain view at all times, according to the KSDK report. (Read KSDK's complete report on the Senior PGA Championship admissions policy here.) Pattonville 'On Fire' Early Against Parkway Central En Route To Title

The Pirates head for a rematch with Hazelwood Central in the state soccer playoffs Tuesday.

In the games Pattonville High School's girls soccer team has lost this season, the team and the Pirates' head coach came to a conclusion. While it may sound cliche, they weren't coming out ready to play. "We all kind of sat down, we had a talk, that was one of the things we needed to fix, and looks like we fixed it," coach Tom Iffrig said Friday night, after Pattonville defeated Parkway Central 3-0 to take home the school's fifth straight district title. Hitting the field ready to play meant winning the first five minutes of the game and Pattonville did just that. Iffrig told his club afterward that the team was on fire.  "We came out and misjudged the first ball that came to our backs and let 22 (Ashanti Carey) get in behind us," Parkway …

CBC Gets Ahead Early, Wins District Baseball Title

Cadet Pitcher Dan Herrmann held Parkway North hitless until the third inning.

Parkway North may have been the number one seed in the district four baseball playoff tournament which concluded Wednesday on the Vikings' campus, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a much better team coming down the stretch than the CBC Cadets, who won 8 eight of their last nine heading into the title game against Parkway North. Wednesday, the Cadets got to North pitcher Joe Hope early and chased the Sophomore after taking a 5-0 second inning lead behind two early RBI by CBC's Bobby Lang en route to an 11-6 win. The Cadets got five innings from starter Dan Herrmann, who didn't give up a hit until an Ellis Brodsky single in the third inning. The Parkway North (20-6) bench complained about getting squeezed in the strike zone early, but shaky…

One Hit The Difference In Parkway North District Semifinal Vs. Central

The Vikings had a nip and tuck game vs. the rival Colts Monday afternoon, with a birth in the district final on the line.

One hit. That's all it took for Parkway North to get what the Vikings needed to advance past Parkway Central in a district semifinal played at North Monday afternoon. With a man on in the first inning, Colt starter Brian Hillhouse struck out Parkway North's Jon Shanker, but Central could not complete the putout at first base when the ball escaped the cather.  North's Garrett Taylor followed that up with a RBI double, the only Viking hit of the game, scoring two runs. An errant throw on a double play conversion plated a third run to back Sophomore starter Joey Reeves. He'd need every one of those runs as Hillhouse shut down the Vikings for the remainder of the game. Reeves worked out of jams throughout the game, except for a Zack Lazenby …

More Lighting Planned For The Principia Athletic Field

Additional lighting will be set up on The Principia soccer field this summer. It's expected to benefit the school's athletics program, but not intrude on residents.

Town and Country aldermen recently approved allowing additional lighting to be set up on the soccer fields at The Principia. (For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) School officials explained that the lighting will allow the school to host tournaments and improve the quality of practice time, including allowing student athletes to practice at night when summer heat warnings are issued during the daylight hours. The lights will also allow night games which will school staff said will improve fan attendance because games will be held when more people can attend. The new lights will sit on 50-foot stands and there will be visors around the edges of the actual lights to prevent them from shining away from the field. …
