Drace Park 2310 Cedar Valley Rd, Saint Louis, MO63131
The neighborhood park sits on nine acres of land located on Cedar Valley Lane, just east of Interstate 270 and south…More of Clayton Road. The Drace family lived on the property for years and used the land for its home before it became a community park.
Along with a playgound, pavillion and paved walking trail, two historic log cabins are found in the park just as you drive in the front entrance. The "Kropp Log Cabin" is a restored log cabin that was already on the property when the Drace family lived there, and "Estill Log Cabin," which now sits in the park, was moved to the park and then restored.
Families and community members have been enjoying all this park has to offer for decades. In addition to the…More sprawling grounds, this park has one of the largest and most unique playgrounds in the area. Queeny Park was once part of the estate of the former president and chairman of the board of Monsanto Chemical Company, Mr. Edgar M. Queeny. In addition, it holds ten miles of trails (some paved), four fishing ponds, a large community center with and ice rink and roller rink, equestrian trails, reservable picnic sites, a large corporate picnic shelter, the Dog Museum, tennis courts, an air conditioned arena that can seat 4,300 people or can be used for trade shows, antique shows, graduations and more. There is plenty of parking and so much to do here.
