Principal Mary Hey says John F. Kennedy High School is the only co-education Catholic high school in West County. SheMore says the school may be small, but it's inclusive. The campus is centrally-located near Highway 141 and Manchester Road, and welcomes students from a number of surrounding counties and the city of St. Louis. When students enter the building, they are greeted in the grand lobby by the school motto.

CBC was founded in 1850 and is now in its third location, built in 2003. The school is operated by the Brothers of the Christian Schools and serves students in grades 9 - 12.

The school has 67 full-time faculty members of which 70% hold a Masters Degree or higher lever of education, according to the school. Students come from more than 100 different parishes, and there are more than 14,000 CBC alumni.
