Parents ruin sports..

Alan I agree. Parents coach to get their kids and kids friends a leg up. Kids are choosen too basedRead More on parents and kids being friends. Take AAU and All-Stars and positions in each sport. Parents coach because they want their kid in prime positions, kids are friends with certain kids or because a family does not like someone but the kid has talent not playing. You need "out of area" coaches to come and determine if a kid is "that good" to be at the next level not "locals" whom coach because that is the only way the kid will get playing time.

sportsnut: Seems like a perfect opportunity for you to get involved in coaching... If nothingRead More else, becoming a coach will give you a voice in the league to lobby for equal playing time for all kids, and rotation of positions--particularly at the lower levels.

FYI - South PATRIOTS, not pioneers. Your first reference is correct, the second is not. We areRead More proud of our boys! Thanks in advance for correcting this.

Dear mr. Milton gomillion, Hard to follow your d-track broken english and racing thoughts... TheRead More new coach will be done in three yrs. tops. Talent without hardwork goes no where, it does not matter if it is in the classroom, sports or life. The old coach did nothing wrong and the new coach will be stacking chairs in study hall when he is not busy trying to figure out how to babysit d1 talent and run a basketball camp. What kind of guy has his kid listed as a reference for a new job... Sad... It is about the money... Take your time reading, you will get it, I hope...

He went to the final four 3 times in six years and won state in one of those years. At a school thatRead More is NOT a hotbed of athletic talent and is actually quite focused on Academics... He hasn't won anything? At least be fair about facts.
