Manchester Cleans Streams

The Manchester Clean Stream event took place last weekend and there is another clean up event this Saturday.

The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department held its third Clean Stream event on Saturday, Oct. 1. Check out photos from the event in this article.

Parks and Recreation Director Eileen Collins tells Town and Country - Manchester Patch that more than 200 volunteers turned out to help clean up Grand Glaize and Fishpot creeks. She said three one-ton dump trucks were full of trash picked up during the cleaning effort.

Collins said the city has been holding the event annually and it's a great opportunity for local scout troops to earn some of their badges.
