5 Things to Do This Weekend in Town and Country and Manchester

The cities have some friendly summertime events lined up for residents this weekend.

Looking for something to do this first official weekend of summer? The cities of Town and Country and Manchester have a handful of family-friendly events to choose from Friday and Saturday.

  1. Snores and S'mores Campout: Friday at 5 p.m. at Schroeder Park -- Campout at Manchester's Schroeder Park for the night! Dinner and breakfast will be served, and participate in an outdoor movie, field games, crafts and more activities. Cost: $8 for adults, $6 for children ages 4-12, free for children 3 and under. Call 636-391-6326 ext. 400 for more information.
  2. Luau at the Pool: Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Manchester Aquatic Center -- Manchester goes to Hawaii for a themed party to kick off summer. Admission is free for pool pass holders; $5 for non-resident adults and $3 for non-resident children.
  3. Town and Country Crossing Movie at the Lake: Friday at 8 p.m. at Town and Country Crossing -- Movie Mania launches with "Rise of the Guardians." Activities for children start at 7 p.m., and refreshments will be on hand for the event. Admission is free. Read more here.
  4. Manchester Movie in the Park: Friday at 8:30 p.m. at Schroeder Park -- Watch "The Lorax" under the stars at the Schroeder Park ampitheater. Admission is free.
  5. Fire and Ice: Saturday at 6 p.m. at Town and Country Crossing -- Celebrate summer at the Fire and Ice annual community festival; taking place on the Town and Country Crossing property (the grassy area west of Target). Festivities include ice cream, fireworks, a live band, bounce houses for children, giveaways and games as well as a “Taste of Town and Country” area.  View the event on Patch here.
