Services for Seniors in St. Louis County

For St. Louis County seniors in need of a helping hand, the county’s Department of Human Services offers eligible individuals assistance with a variety of tasks through the County Older Resident Programs (CORP).

Through this program, seniors can take advantage of benefits like income tax preparation assistance, home safety inspections, low-cost home repairs, and transportation to medical appointments. The county also offers home visits and care calls to check in on seniors and help ease any loneliness they may experience.

To qualify for CORP, individuals must be over 60 years of age and meet certain income eligibility standards.

Most of these services are offered free of charge, so CORP needs volunteers to continue its operations. If you are interested in helping seniors in our county, CORP is looking for volunteers to assist with many of its projects, including security system installation, income tax preparation, and care calls.

To learn more about CORP, call the St. Louis Customer Assistance Line at 314-615-4516.
