Richard Hughes, Town and Country resident and husband of mayoral candidate Barbara Hughes, threw out the first pitch at the second St. Louis Cardinals spring training game this season in Jupiter, Florida.
According to his wife Barbara, who is running for Town and Country mayor in the April election, her husband Richard threw out the first pitch at Roger Dean Stadium Sunday, Feb. 24.
Richard threw the pitch on his birthday, his wife Barbara tells Patch.
The family traveled to Florida to catch some of the spring training events, including the first games.

Rich Hughes joins us from St. Louis, Missouri where he considers himself a diehard Cardinal baseball fan. For the past 8 years Rich has donated his time as a Cardinal Care volunteer. For the past 2 years Rich has served on the planning committee for the Baseball Writers Association of America annual dinner. Rich is an avid collector of vintage, sports memorabilia.
