Soulard Mardi Gras Run For Your Beads 5K

Mardigrasinc.com offers the following description:

The course will begin and end at 13th and Lynch (Near AB Tour Center). Official course map 

This race is in February so it could be cold. All participants will have access to the heated tent before and after the race. We will run in just about any conditions but we do reserve the right to cancel if we deem the course too dangerous. Parking is abundant in several near by lots located off of Lynch.

$25 per runner in advance $30 the day of the event - A portion of the proceeds benefits Cardinal Glennon Children's Center

Packets will be mailed up until Sunday February 20th. You may also pick up packets race morning at race registration.

Mardi Gras Inc. continues it's expansion of the festival and runs into the athletics. Now the Wiener Dogs aren't the only ones that can run during the festival season!  The Mardi Gras 5K will include some of your favorite characteristics of Carnival including a costume contest and Beer and Hurricane station opposite the water break.  In addition to your mid race refreshment, we'll have a glass of Michelob Ultra at the finish to replenish the few calories that you've burnt during the run.  

Age groups for the Mardi Gras 5k will be in 10 year age groups, Men's and Women's: U20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+

Awards for the following:  Overall Male and Female Champion as well as Best Costume - Two VIP tickets to the Bud Light  Tent the following weekend at the Grand Parade. Includes all food and beverage for the day.

1st place - Custom Mardi Gras 5K Medal, Southern Comfort Taste of Soulard Booklet, Mardi Gras Logo'ed Apparel

2nd place - Custom Mardi Gras 5K Medal, Southern Comfort Taste of Soulard Booklet

3rd place - Custom Mardi Gras Medal
