Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis, Mercy Children’s Hospital Join to Increase Bike Safety Awareness

Free bike helmet fittings and safety checks performed to promote safe bike riding, encourage participation in 2nd Annual Ronald McDonald House Charities Bike Ride

St. Louis, MO— Mercy Children’s Hospital will offer free bike helmet fittings and safety checks from 6 to 8p.m., on Tuesday, May 17, in the Hospital’s Courtyard Garden next to the Emergency Department entrance (615.S. New Ballas Rd). Ronald McDonald and representatives from the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis will be on hand to entertain, serve ice cream, and sign individuals and families up to participate in the 2nd Annual Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Bike Ride.

Fittings are by-appointment-only and can be made by calling 314.961.2229, or by visiting http://mercy.gosignmeup.com. Two Mercy nurse educators and a pediatric emergency medicine physician with Mercy Children’s Hospital, will be available to discuss bike safety with individuals and media representatives. Representatives from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis will be on hand to answer questions about their annual bike ride fundraiser and to sign up participants.
