CBC, Westminster Vie for State Baseball Titles

Both Town and Country teams are advancing in the state tournament.

Update: May 31 at 8:45 p.m.

The MSHSAA website said the Westminster vs. Logan-Rogersville game Friday has been suspended because of severe weather. Play will resume Saturday at a time not yet determined.

Original story:

Both Christian Brothers College and Westminster Christian Academy in Town and Country are on their mark in state baseball tournaments.

The CBC Cadets (23-8) and WCA Wildcats (31-3) are competing in the Missouri State High School Athletic Association state baseball championships, but in different classes. CBC continues to advance in Class 5, and Westminster in Class 4.

Westminster plays against Logan-Rogersville Friday at 6 p.m. at T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O'Fallon, after stomping Ste. Genevieve and beating Notre Dame High in previous rounds.

CBC faces off against Willard Saturday at 4 p.m. at T.R. Hughes. The Cadets defeated Vianney last week in quarterfinals, winning against Eureka in the first round.
