Seckman Cannot Contain Sheperd as Parkway Central Rolls

The Jaguars cannot slow down Parkway Central receiver Brandon Sheperd, who scores five touchdowns.

Seckman's younger team was clearly overmatched by the bigger, faster and more experienced Parkway Central team on Friday night, and lost 42-0.

It was the season opener, and first Suburban South Conference game for Seckman.

The Jaguars could not contain Parkway Central's Brandon Sheperd, who scored five touchdowns. Shepard had 65 yards rushing and 87 receiving. He ran for two scores, was on the receiving end for three more and also ran for another potential score that was called back on a penalty.

Sheperd’s touchdown runs came from 30 and 35 yards, as he simply raced past the helpless Jaguars defenders.

Seckman's Blake Pepper had some impressive runs, and showed great speed getting to the outside, but the swarming Colts (2-0, 1-0 Suburban South) defense kept him out of the end zone. He finished with 36 yards on 15 carries.

Almost half of Seckman head coach Jamie Critchlow's varsity squad are sophmores, so experience did play a major factor in this game.

Parkway Central will host Northwest at 7 p.m. next Friday.
